Born from a Simple Observation

Youth and Adult Community Training (YACT) CIC was born from a simple observation: London is full of untold stories, but many people lack the tools to share them. We launched to bridge the gap between creative potential and technical access, providing the equipment and training necessary for local voices to be heard.

We believe that skills like filmmaking, podcasting, and photography are more than just hobbies — they are vital pathways to employment and civic agency.

As a social enterprise, we don't answer to shareholders; we answer to our community, reinvesting 100% of our income back into the people we serve.

What We Stand For

Access for All

We keep our courses free or affordable so your bank balance never limits your potential. No one is turned away due to cost.

Community-Led

We are transparent and community-led every step of the way. Our community shapes our programmes, not the other way around.

Reinvesting in People

As a social enterprise, we reinvest 100% of our income back into the people we serve — funding equipment, facilitators, and new programmes.

The Principles That Guide Us

🎯

Equity

We actively work to remove barriers — financial, geographic, and social — that prevent people from accessing creative training.

🤝

Community

We are rooted in London's diverse communities and shaped by the people we serve. Our participants are partners, not just students.

💡

Creativity

We believe every person has a story worth telling. Our role is to give people the tools and confidence to tell it.

🔍

Transparency

As a CIC, we are accountable to our community. We publish our accounts and are open about how every pound is spent.
